Barbury's racin season was set neatly in context on Wednesday evening as racing connections from all around joined new Barbury Partner Hobson's Choice at a unique preview event at the kitchen designer's showroom in Swindon.
With four fixtures ahead, including the prestigious International fixture on January 20th, the event was attended by racing and Point-to-Point folk from the surrounding area to hear about the season ahead.
Rupert Bell of talkSPORT interviewed numerous racing connections including Laura Thomas and Sarah Rippon, as well as Neil King, the other "King of Barbury", who has enjoyed success recently from Ridgeway Racing just over the hill from theracecourse. 
Hobsons Choice was launching a new association with Barbury Racecourse that will see them become a Partner of Barbury, with introductions to key owners, riders and subscribers of the organizers, and positioning the brand as the high end kitchen and bathroom designer in the West Country. Operating from showrooms in BAth, Swindon and Winchester, Hobsons Choice has been created design choices for over 40 years.
Richard Carter, Managing Director, explained why the involvement with Barbury was apposite. "I can se commonalities between our target clientele and those that attend the races and horse trials at Barbury. We're delighted to get this first opportunity to invite some of them to our showroom, and we plan to have a presence at Barbury throughout the equestrian calendar. I'd certainly like to find out more about the whole equine scene."
