Barbury's next fixture, the middle of three this season, adds a new innovative race to connect stable yards all over the South West. This year’s event on Sunday February 9 is set to be bigger and better than ever with the inaugural running of the Barbury Races Stable Staff Dash at the end of the day, in aid of the Air Ambulance. Open to all those working in licensed training yards, entrants must not have held a rider's licence of any sort in the UK or Ireland.

Run over one circuit of the course, measuring 1m 2f, for horses aged 5+, rated up to 80 on the flat, or 120 over Jumps, the race is designed for riders who have not had experience of race-riding, and excludes those that have held a BHA Rider's licence of any sort in the UK and Ireland. Weights are set at 12st. The Air Ambulance looks set to receive at least £3,000 from entry fees alone. For an entry form, email karenhobbs@sportingagenda.co.uk

Additionally, there will be for the first time a new heated big tent featuring The Outside Chance run by The Queen’s Arms, East Garston and for those looking to make a real day of it, you can purchase a private hospitality picnic pen which includes admission for up to 12 guests, BYO picnic with seating and quick access to the bar!

Outside of the superb racing, there are plenty of other activities on offer including, shopping amongst the many trade stands and a Dog Show during the afternoon.

You can save 30% on tickets now by visiting barburyraces.co.uk. Tickets cost £15 per person on the day and Under 16s go for free.
