Entries close: Monday November 20th 12.30pm

Entry Fees: £40 per race, £20 per additional race same horse (non-refundable in the event of abandonment)

Horses entered in Races 1, 4 & 6 must be owned and ridden by current members of the PPORA.

 

1st Race 12 noon Dodson & Horrell PPORA Club Members Race

Prize money: 1st £180, 2nd £90, 3rd 45

Weights 12st

Conditions: For Riders who up to and including November 18th 2017, have not won more than 5 races under the Rules of any recognized Racing Authority (Point-to-Points included)

A winner on or since November 27th 2015 of 2 races under the Rules of any recognized Racing Authority (Point-to-Points included, Maiden and Hunt races excepted) to carry 3lbs extra; of 3 or more such races 5lbs extra. Penalties are not cumulative.

The first 4 horses and riders past the post are eligible for the 1,000 Dodson & Horrell PPORA Club Members Race for Novice Riders Series Final at Garthorpe on Sunday May 21st 2017.

Prize money: 1st £300, 2nd £140, 3rd £70

Allowances: Riders who prior to the Thursday before the date of this Point-to-Point, haver not ridden 5 winners under the Rules of Racing or of any recognized Racing Authority, Point-to-Point or Arab Racing…………………………………………………………………………. 5lbs

Penalties: For each win on or since June 2nd 2016 in a Steeplechase or Hurdle Race under the Rules of any recognized Racing Authority (Point-to-Points excepted) 4lbs extra; for each win since July 1st 2016 in a Men’s, Ladies or Mixed Open 3lbs extra; maximum penalty 12lbs. Penalties are cumulative

Winner qualifies for the Timico Mixed Open Final at Cheltenham May 4th 2018; first two qualify for the Skinner’s Pet Foods Ladies Open Final at Stratford June 8th 2018

4th Race 1.45 Eight Year Olds & Over PPORA Club Members Race

Prize money: 1st £180, 2nd £90, 3rd £45

Conditions: For horses aged eight years old and over only, which have won at least one race under the Rules of any recognized Racing Authority (Point-to-Points included), but which on or since November 24th 2015, have not won any race under any recognized Racing Authority (Point-to-Points included, Hunt members races excepted)

Penalties: None

5th Race 2.20 Tony Kemp Memorial Intermediate Race

Prize money: 1st £180, 2nd £90, 3rd £45

Weights 12st

Penalties: A winner of a Confined, Conditions or Club, Association, Service or Society Point-to-Point race (Maiden Races excepted) to carry 5lbs extra for each such win. Penalties are cumulative.

First two horses past the post, with the exception of four year olds, are eligible for the £7,000 3m 1f Connolly's Red Mills Hunter Chase Final at Cheltenham on Friday May 4th 2018.
